"Behind the Facade"

I tell beautiful lies,
And play a dangerous game.
As I look into her eyes,
All I see is pain.

Her smile is a disguise,
Hiding secrets I can't contain.
In this world of lust,
Love and hurt intertwine again.

Whispers of deceit arise
In the shadows, they remain.
Caught within a web of lies,
Bound by love's unyielding chain.

Yet I cannot break the ties,
For her heart, I still proclaim.
I'll mend what time denies,
Seek redemption for the flame.

With each word, my hope implies
A chance to heal, a chance to sustain
A love that never truly dies.
Through the lies, we'll break the strain.

For her heart will be mine,
In this life or the next.

The evidence of my confidence Lies in my innocence. My area of residence, I give precedences And show acceptance To those with diligence. Have no room for negligence, Show indifference to my opposition. Don't give a damn About the condition. Close my eyes, show no conviction. Walk with confidence In this world, my residence. With an empowered mindset And a silent presence, I stand and watch Those cower in fear. I am reminded Of my past self, Broken and driven By fear. But out of the shadows, A new presence resides. I wasn't born with it, It was something I had to learn, Something I now teach. Though hidden, My confident stride Can never be taken.

Don't ask a question unless you want a confession. I'm tired of all this aggression. Don't you know my reputation? Look at me, I'm not at my prime, Just trying to pass time. So I write a couple lines, and they say that's a crime. They say I'm wrong, that I should stop singing my song. Don't they know my words are tender? Ain't playing games, ain't a sender. I profess my love and confess my sins. Yet am drowning in my own skin, Trying so hard to be free, Trying so hard to be me, After years of going unseen. Here I stand speaking my truth, Telling my tale, To those in the shadows, Those unknown. Cause I have outgrown, The stage they reside, The pain, Unspoken.
