"A Call To Action"

Am a man on a mission,
To be the best, to earn their respect,
That's my ambition.
Am not trying to be someone else,
Am not trying to play a role,
Am trying to achieve my goal.

Growing up, I was never shown compassion,
I was always in darkness, given no direction,
But had to find a solution.
Everyday I saw tragedy,
I was inspired to change my life story
To a comedy; it was hard,
But now I live in harmony.
That's the fantasy.

Every time I read the headlines,
The first word I see is inflation,
And they call that innovation?
They lack passion and determination.

Three hundred and sixty-five days,
And it's still the same rotation.
How many years have we been in this situation?
Always given less, always under domination,
But never able to take action
Over all this discrimination.

Yet they say something but do nothing,
Like that will uplift the nation.
I have heard stories of men and women
Who go to bed with tears in their eyes,
And children go hungry, and they say we're striving.

A nation plagued by poverty,
It's hard to find beauty within.

Am a man on a mission,
Motivated by the struggles of my people,
The pain of the nation.
If I had the opportunity,
I would make some modifications,
But that's just my imagination,
Not really my area of concentration.

As every nation should be built
On a solid foundation,
That's my mission.
